- Create and manage budget and inventory, prepare menus, and calculate portions;
- Prepare lunch and snacks following USDA nutritional guidelines for children;
- Cleaning and washing prep table, sweeping and mopping the floors, and cleaning and organizing the prep fridge and pantry;
- Maintaining overall cleanliness in the kitchen;
- Budgeting, managing, and ordering inventory;
- Assisting in other areas as needed assigned by management.
- A current physical examination by a physician, including a current tuberculin test or chest x-A current
- Serv-Safe certificate
- Food Worker Certificate, or Food Safety Certificate
- An approved criminal record check as required by state regulations.
- The ability to prepare food and serve food, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations for the state.
- The ability to understand and comply with the school’s policies relating to food service and employment policies.
- The ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, children and parents.
