Our Goddard School is seeking an experienced, nurturing, and passionate Mandarin Enrichment Teacher who will establish and maintain a safe, healthy, engaging, and nurturing learning environment. This Goddard School is a trilingual preschool which teaches English, Spanish, and Mandarin in a Reggio-Emilia style approach from birth through Pre-K. This Enrichment Teacher speaks to children in the target language all day in an immersive style.
· Build strong, positive, trustworthy relationships with all stakeholders (children, faculty, parents and administration).
· Embody and support the school’s mission and make it central to all decisions and actions.
The Mandarin Enrichment Teacher will:
- Lead and collaborate with your team to develop creative hands-on activities and projects based on your observations of children’s interests and skills to help children understand, speak, read and write Mandarin.
- Plan, prepare and implement lessons and activities according to the School’s curriculum, gathering, preparing and organizing all materials for circle time activities, small group projects and learning centers.
· Model respectful interactions with colleagues and students and maintain a positive, professional and happy classroom environment.
- Speak in the target language to children all day (English, Spanish or Mandarin)
- Other duties as assigned.
