We are looking for a resource teacher (part-time 7:30 am to 1:30 pm) to join our team today. If you are interested in a career working with children, we’d love to talk to you about what your career path could look like in early childhood education. We are in search of a team member who is adept with working in the kitchen as well as the classroom. Kitchen duties, include prepping snacks, preparing lunch for approximately 25 students using only microwaves and an air fryer, managing food inventory to meet weekly demands of the school on a first in first out basis, sanitizing dishes, cleaning, organizing, and ensuring the kitchen meets all Health and Safety requirements. Classroom duties including acting as a morning floater to ensure ratio is met in classrooms as needed. You will be required to follow all state requirements necessary to work in a preschool environment as well as provide a safe loving environment during drop off each morning. Responsibilities of a Resource Teacher include the following:
- Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
- Supporting each child’s social and emotional development.
- Establishing positive and effective family relations.
- Working with the classroom teachers and in conjunction with the entire faculty.
- Responsible for preparing lunch and snacks daily.
- Responsible for assisting with laundry.
- Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
- Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
