- Prepare and cook meals and snacks according to the menu and nutritional guidelines provided by the school.
- Ensure all meals are nutritious, balanced, and appealing to young children.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Monitor food supplies and ingredients, and order as needed to maintain inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the school director and teachers to accommodate special dietary needs or preferences of children.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage and labeling of food items.
- Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the Goddard School and regulatory authorities.
- Previous experience in food preparation, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of nutrition and food safety guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification or training is a plus.
