The Goddard School of Stony Brook, NY is seeking Lead Teachers to join our fun working environment. Positions are available in Toddlers and Preschool. This is a full-time position 5 days a week.
The Lead Teacher is responsible for the following:
- Creating and executing lesson plans based on the NYS Early Learning Guidelines which enable children to observe, question, and investigate.
- Adapt lesson plans to meet the individual needs and interests of all students.
- Observe and Evaluate children's academic performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Meet with parents and/or guardians to discuss their child's progress and needs.
- Maintain accurate attendance and health records as required by law, New York State Office of Children and Family Services, and The Goddard School.
- Attend professional development meetings and complete all required in-person and online trainings.
- Provide an exciting, challenging, safe, and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow in.
Salary will depend on experience. New teachers are welcome to apply.
