Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily school operations
- Manage budget and ensure compliance with state and Goddard licensing requirements
- Support recruitment, training, and supervision of staff
- Handle employee and student file paperwork
- Create and maintain faculty schedules
- Review timecards and time off requests
- Manage opening and closing procedures
- Build strong relationships with families and staff
- Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
Professional Experience:
- 5-7 years in childcare or education, including 3-4 years in a leadership role
- Experience with licensing, monitoring, and reporting
- Effective communication with staff, children, and parents
- Ability to multitask, manage stress, remain flexible, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality
- Accurate record-keeping skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds and move around the center for extended periods
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education

AND a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential

OR 3 semester hours of college credit or 3 points of credential-approved training in administration, leadership, or management
