The Goddard School® located in Third Lake, IL is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook to join our team. At our School, we put our staff first because they put our students first. As a Cook, you will provide children with nutritious foods, order supplies and manage the food budget. The Cook will need to be aware of food allergies and have a food manager license or be willing to get the food manager license.

Cook Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the food budget;
- Ensuring the safe cooking, handling and preparation of all foods;
- Preparing menus that include healthy lunches and snacks;
- Ensuring that the menus are always in compliance with state and federal regulations;
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations relating to food handling;
- Maintaining appropriate portion sizes;
- Ordering food and paper products.
- Washing and sanitizing dishes
- Maintain a clean kitchen while adhering to health and safety standards

Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
