The Goddard School is looking for a motivated, self-starter for an Education and Quality Assurance Director position at our School. The Director will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the school, ensuring the highest standards of education and care. This role involves supporting the Director, Teachers and Classrooms with maintaining Educational and Quality Assurance compliance while fostering positive relationships with parents and the Goddard community.
Qualifications:
- Associates of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
- (defined as 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education) and
- either a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential (see 89 Ill. Adm. Code 50.720(b) and http://www.ilgateways.com/en/illinois-directorcredential-idc)
- or 3 semester hours of college credit or 3 points of credential approved training in administration, leadership or management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education best practices.

- Demonstrate highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills

Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum and Program Development
- Assist in the implementation of a high-quality educational program
- Ensure that the educational programs meet the needs of all children
- Support teachers in creating engaging and effective lesson plans
- Quality Assurance - Health and Safety:
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors
- Conduct regular classroom audits, safety drills and maintain emergency preparedness
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the School
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with state childcare licensing regulations
- Staff Management:
- Support the recruitment, training and supervision of staff
- Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for teachers
- Manage and ensure the proper training of all staff members
- Family and Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and families
- Address parent concerns and provide regular communication regarding their child’s progress
- Promote the schools within the community and participate in outreach activities
