Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our team. The Lead Infant Teacher will be responsible for providing nurturing care and developmentally appropriate early childhood education to infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months. This individual will play a crucial role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where infants can thrive and develop essential skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities tailored to the needs and interests of infants.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes infants' social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Establish positive relationships with infants, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and collaboration.
- Observe and document each child's growth, development, and milestones, and communicate progress to parents regularly.
- Ensure the well-being and individual needs of each infant are met, including feeding, diapering, and nap schedules.
- Implement behavior management techniques that promote positive behavior and social skills development.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. May be in the process of acquiring!
- Previous experience working with infants in a childcare setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infant development and early childhood education principles.
- Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with infants, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with infants and young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Ability to meet state licensing requirements for childcare staff.
