The Goddard School, located in Marshallton/West Chester, an Early Childhood Education center, is currently hiring full time Preschool teachers. Experience working with children under the age of 6 is necessary. A Lead Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. To accomplish required job duties, teachers work closely with a
co-teacher along with the entire faculty and administration.
Our school is open Monday -Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm.

Job Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
- Help to implement weekly lesson plans based on Goddard’s Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes
- Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence while supporting each child’s social and emotional development, and individual needs
- Establish positive and effective family relations through interactive parent communication
- Appropriate and professional communication with fellow staff and management, cultivating a healthy and functional working environment that fosters teamwork
- Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions
- Ensure compliance with Goddard’s Quality Assurance and PA state standards
- Work with a team of other teachers in the classroom
Job Requirements
All candidates, who wish to be considered must meet the following criteria:
- To be considered candidate must have prior classroom experience at a childcare center or related experience working with children under the age of 6
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
- Strong work ethic, leadership and communication skills
- Positive attitude and inherent love for young children
- Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Be available to start employment within a few weeks of accepting an offer
- 18+ with a high school degree or GED.
- Driver's License required
