Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Assistant Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate will work alongside the Lead Teacher to create a supportive and engaging classroom experience that promotes early childhood development. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about working with young children and eager to contribute to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities.
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
- Supervise children to ensure a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning space.
- Provide individualized attention and support to students as needed.
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, nap time, and bathroom breaks.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators.
- Encourage positive behavior and social skills through modeling and guidance.
- Follow school policies and state regulations for early childhood education.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children, including lifting, bending, and sitting on the floor.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
