Job description

The Goddard School – Sanford (Lake Mary Heathrow) is looking for a motivated self-starter with excellent communication and customer service skills, strong computer skills and have a good understanding of age-appropriate activities for young children. A Child Development Associate’s degree or higher in a related field, and at least 5 years of classroom experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool is required.

Key Responsibilities

· Welcoming visitors and families to the school

· Answering phone calls, taking, and delivering messages

· Filing and paperwork

· Creating lobby signage using Microsoft office

· Scheduling meetings and events and assist in organizing and execution.

· Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment

· Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills

· Supporting classrooms when needed (~10% classroom time)

· Having a genuine love for children

Full Time Benefits include:

· No nights / No Weekends

Preschool Office Assistant Qualifications:

· CDA or higher in a related field

· DCF 45 hours certification

· At least 5 years of classroom experience in a licensed center

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Great computer skills

· CPR/First Aid certified

· Ability to lift 50 pounds
