We are seeking a Pre-K Co-Lead Teacher for The Goddard School® located in Collegeville, PA (across from the Providence Town Center off the Collegeville/Phoenixville 422 exit!) We're looking for a passionate, experienced, and creative teacher to join our Pre-K classroom. In this role, you'll foster a nurturing and fun environment while delivering a play-based, ready-to-use but customizable curriculum—no late-night lesson planning required! You'll guide daily activities, support child development, assess progress, and collaborate with a warm, dedicated team of like-minded, committed educators! - High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
- 2-4 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
- Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
- Desire to work collaboratively with others (team player)
- Enjoys working with positive, like-minded people who are passionate about education
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
Curriculum & Instruction:
- Create and implement flexible, age-appropriate lesson plans using Goddard’s curriculum, along with individually designed age-appropriate lessons preparing children for Kindergarten.
- Inspire a love of learning through hands-on, engaging activities that incorporate both academic learning along with social and emotional development.
- Observe and assess student development, adapting lessons using real-time data.
- Build a safe, welcoming, and child-centered classroom environment.
- Manage daily routines smoothly and use positive guidance for behavior.
- Keep families informed through daily updates (written and verbal) and bi-annual conferences.
- Foster strong parent partnerships and encourage involvement.
- Maintain a clean, safe learning space; follow all safety protocols.
- Supervise children at all times—indoors and outdoors.
- Engage in ongoing training and stay current on best practices.
- Collaborate with teammates to support a strong school community.
