A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support to patients and healthcare staff, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Measure and record patients' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, and report any changes to nursing staff.
  • Mobility Assistance: Help patients with mobility, including transferring them between beds, wheelchairs, and other locations.
  • Feeding Support: Deliver meals and assist patients with eating, ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Emotional Support: Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their families, fostering a caring environment.
  • Infection Control: Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain cleanliness in patient areas.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care and assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervising nurses.
Qualifications
  • Certification: Must be a certified nursing assistant, having completed a state-approved training program and passed the certification exam.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving patients, and standing for extended periods.
Work Environment
CNAs typically work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The role may involve working shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the facility's needs.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
