About the Role:
Join The Goddard School of Owings Mills, MD as a Preschool Janitor, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our young learners. Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitation:
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing floors.
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including sinks and floors.
- Dusting furniture, fixtures, walls, and windows.
- Washing windows and walls.
- Emptying and cleaning waste and recycling receptacles.

Restocking Supplies:- Ensuring restrooms are stocked with paper, soap, and other necessary supplies.

Maintenance and Repairs:
- Performing minor repairs to building fixtures and equipment.
- Notifying supervisors of any needed repair work.
- Washing whiteboards and cleaning common areas.

Safety and Environment:
- Disinfecting high-touch surfaces, such as door handles and desks, to prevent germ spread.
- Performing exterior maintenance, such as picking up debris from grounds and sidewalks.
- Follow safety procedures for the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Special Tasks:
- Arranging furniture and setting up rooms for special events or classes.
- Moving and storing supplies and equipment.

Essential Skills and Qualities
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures for chemicals and equipment.
- Reliability and the ability to manage tasks independently.
- Physical capability to perform tasks involving walking, stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass background checks and comply with health regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
