Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, passionate Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to lead our Pre-K classroom and prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten. This position is ideal for a professional educator who is committed to early childhood education, maintains high classroom standards, and approaches teaching with intention, structure, and care.
Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on kindergarten readiness
- Creating engaging lesson plans that support academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Leading and mentoring assistant teachers within the classroom
- Maintaining a safe, organized, and nurturing learning environment
- Supporting daily care routines, including meals, hygiene, and transitions
- Communicating professionally and consistently with parents and families
- Assessing and documenting student progress and development
- Ensuring compliance with state licensing, health, and safety regulations
- Maintaining a clean, well-organized classroom
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Lead Teacher in a Pre-K or early childhood classroom (required)
- CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education (required)
- Strong understanding of kindergarten readiness standards and child development
- CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and reliability
