Overview:
We are looking for a caring, dependable Closing Assistant Teacher to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and is eager to begin or grow a career in early childhood education. The Closing Assistant Teacher plays an important role in creating a calm, engaging end-of-day environment while ensuring classrooms are prepared for the following day.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children during afternoon and closing hours
- Keeping accurate attendance and following proper classroom ratios
- Keeping children engaged with age-appropriate activities and structured play
- Supporting smooth transitions at the end of the day
- Performing daily closing procedures to ensure classrooms are clean, organized, and ready for the next day
- Assisting with light classroom cleaning and sanitizing per licensing guidelines
- Working collaboratively with teachers and administrative staff
Qualifications:
- A genuine love for working with children
- Interest in beginning a career in early childhood education
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Ability to follow routines, policies, and closing procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Prior childcare experience is a plus, but not required
Schedule:
- Ideal hours for this position are 2:00–6:00 PM or 3:00–6:00 PM
