About Us:
The Goddard School in Fairfield, NJ is a high-quality early childhood education center committed to excellence, creativity, and strong community partnerships. We are looking for a creative, professional Content Creator to help bring our classrooms, team, and culture to life through short-form video content across our social media platforms.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and creative Content Creator to produce one professional short-form video per week (Reels, TikToks, Shorts). This role involves capturing authentic moments within our school and turning them into engaging, polished content that reflects our brand, values, and vibrant school community.
Time Commitment:
1 hour per week on-site at the school to film and gather content between the hours of 9am and Noon or 3pm to 5pm Monday through Friday
1 hour per week for editing and production (may be completed remotely or on-site)
Total: Approximately 2 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Film short video content on-site, including:
- Classroom activities (age-appropriate and privacy-compliant)
- Teacher and staff highlights
- School events, culture, and behind-the-scenes moments
- Trend-based or seasonal content aligned with our brand
- Edit and produce one finished short-form video per week
- Optimize videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook
- Collaborate with school leadership on content ideas, trends, and themes
- Maintain a professional, positive, and brand-aligned presence in all content
- Follow all school policies related to privacy, child safety, and filming guidelines
Qualifications:
- Experience creating short-form video content for social media
- Strong video editing skills (mobile or desktop editing tools welcome)
- Familiarity with current social media trends and best practices
- Ability to capture warm, engaging, and professional content
- Comfortable working in an early childhood education environment
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet weekly deadlines
- Must be able to pass any required background clearances
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience working with schools, children, or family-focused brands
- Knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook algorithms
- Photography or graphic design experience
Compensation:
$40 per hour
This is a 1099 independent contractor position
