- Plan and lead interactive music classes for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children
- Teach foundational musical concepts including rhythm, melody, tempo, and movement
- Incorporate singing, instruments, storytelling, and movement into lessons
- Encourage participation, self-expression, and confidence in young learners
- Adapt lessons to accommodate varying developmental levels and learning styles
- Maintain classroom instruments and materials in safe, clean condition
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into broader curriculum themes
- Prepare children for informal performances or family showcases (if applicable)
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and activities
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred
- Experience teaching music to young children (infant–5 years preferred)
- Strong vocal skills and basic proficiency with instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, percussion)
- Knowledge of child development principles
- Energetic, patient, and engaging personality
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Background check clearance
- Creativity and adaptability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a warm, inclusive, and joyful learning environment
