As a Resource Teacher, you will collaborate closely with Lead and Assistant Teachers to implement engaging educational experiences that support the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of our students. You’ll serve as an essential classroom support, helping deliver curriculum, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and ensuring children feel safe, supported, and inspired each day.
- Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Teachers to enhance lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Provide flexible classroom coverage to maintain a consistent, high-quality educational experience.
- Prepare and organize engaging classroom materials and learning centers.
- Supervise and interact with children indoors and outdoors, ensuring safety and fostering social development.
- Offer individualized support to children, nurturing an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Communicate professionally and transparently with families regarding children’s progress.
- Maintain clean, safe, and inviting classrooms in alignment with health, safety, and licensing standards.
- Assist with daily care routines to help create a warm, nurturing environment for all students.
- Prepare and portion school snacks and lunches throughout the day.
- Assist with prepping classroom cleaning supplies and maintaining sanitation routines.
- Support with laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and returning items to classrooms.
- Restock and organize supply closets to ensure teachers have materials readily available.
- Maintain kitchen and supply areas in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- High school diploma required
- Empathy and compassion for young children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
- Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements
