The Goddard School of Wadsworth is searching for a Lead Preschool Teacher to work with our 3–4-year-old students who can turn everyday moments into meaningful learning adventures. In this role, you’ll guide a lively classroom of curious young minds, design engaging activities that spark creativity, build confidence, and nurture social-emotional growth. You’ll create a warm, structured environment where children feel safe to explore, ask questions, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

- Salary Range: $17-19/hour

- Observe children’s interests and work with other teachers to develop creative ideas for an engaging curriculum
- Communicate with parents daily, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions
- Engage with other childcare professionals and continue to grow in your profession
- Bachelor or Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
- 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training[LJ1]
- Has knowledge of childcare programming, safety and emergency first-aid procedures, program management and customer service principles
- Skilled at developing relationships and communicating effectively with children, parents, and faculty members
- Is dependable, adaptable and enjoys working in teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding ability to listen and follow-up on issues constructively
- Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. Infant and Young Toddler Teachers must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
