The Goddard School – Fairfield, CT
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood learning standards and Goddard curriculum
- Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment for toddlers
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
- Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Build strong, positive relationships with families through daily communication and updates
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Observe and document developmental progress and milestones
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and leadership staff to support classroom success
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Prior experience working in a toddler or early childhood classroom
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create a positive, patient, and nurturing classroom environment
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must meet all state licensing requirements for childcare staff in Connecticut
- Knowledge in NAEYC a plus!
