- Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using Goddard’s Wonder of Learning® curriculum.
- Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. Create engaging activities that support cognitive, physical, and language development. Balance structured teaching and play-based learning. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Family Communication: Maintain open, effective and positive communication with families and guardians about their child’s progress and daily activities.
- Health and Safety: Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards, licensing regulations and ensure their well-being
- Professional Development: Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills
- Assessment and Documentation: Observe, assess and document children’s learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with school leadership and team members to support classroom quality and school-wide initiatives.
- Associates Degree or higher in early childhood education
- Experience working in an early childhood classroom preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, play-based learning, and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and manage a classroom with confidence and care.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet all licensing, health, and safety requirements for the role.
