Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–5:15 PM
Start Date: Mid-August 2026 (to allow for onboarding and classroom preparation)
Pay Range: $19 to $22 per hour
The Goddard School of Fairfield is seeking an experienced, creative, and passionate Pre-K Teacher to join our award-winning team. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who loves fostering curiosity, building meaningful relationships with families, and creating engaging learning experiences that prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten.

What We're Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:
✅ Has experience working with Pre-K-aged children
✅ Understands how to prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally for kindergarten
✅ Creates engaging, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and wonder
✅ Builds strong partnerships with families through consistent and meaningful communication
✅ Maintains a positive, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
✅ Collaborates effectively with co-teachers, specialists, and school leadership
✅ Believes learning should be fun, purposeful, and developmentally appropriate
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging lessons using Goddard's Wonder of Learning® curriculum
- Foster kindergarten readiness through literacy, math, science, social-emotional learning, and problem-solving experiences
- Create a classroom environment that promotes independence, confidence, and a love of learning
- Document children's growth and learning through observations and portfolios
- Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities, milestones, and student progress
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership team members to ensure a high-quality educational experience
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred or current CDA
- Previous experience teaching Pre-K-aged children required
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for early childhood education and child-centered learning
