Job Description:
The Goddard School at Walton Park is seeking a passionate and dedicated Private Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for our students. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued and supported.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly to ensure individualized learning goals are met.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development, behavior, and academic performance.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to promote a cohesive and supportive learning community.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field OR
- State certification or licensure for teaching at the kindergarten level.
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood learning theories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
