Reports To: Director/Assistant Director/Owner
School Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and daily learning experiences.
- Observe and assess children's development and maintain accurate records.
- Create a welcoming, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Display children's work, curriculum documentation, and classroom learning in meaningful ways.
- Lead, mentor, and collaborate with co teachers to ensure smooth classroom operations.
- Maintain open, professional communication with families regarding their child's development and daily experiences.
- Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of every child through active supervision and adherence to all school policies.
- Maintain compliance with all state licensing regulations, Quality Assurance expectations, and Texas Rising Star (TRS) standards.
- Keep the classroom organized, inspection-ready, and compliant at all times.
- Complete all required documentation, lesson plans, assessments, attendance records, and incident reports accurately and on time.
- Participate in coaching, training, classroom observations, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Arrive prepared and on time each day.
- Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development.
- Uphold the school's mission, values, and commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous childcare experience required; Lead Teacher experience preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must meet all state licensing requirements.
- Lift and carry children up to and over 50 pounds.
- Frequently bend, kneel, squat, sit on the floor, and stand for extended periods.
- Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in various weather conditions.
