- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using The Goddard School's proprietary Wonder of Learning® curriculum
- Foster children's social-emotional development, independence, problem-solving skills, and kindergarten readiness
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate closely with an experienced teaching partner to support student learning and classroom success
- Observe, assess, and document children's growth and development
- Maintain positive and professional communication with families regarding their child's progress and classroom experiences
- Use positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities while ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements
- Participate actively in professional development and school initiatives
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative culture among faculty and staff
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field required
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool or pre-kindergarten-aged children in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning setting preferred
- Experience planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom activities preferred
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a teaching partner and school leadership
- Excellent communication skills with children, families, and colleagues
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid NC Qualifying Letter
- Must meet all North Carolina childcare licensing and training requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with the care of children
