- Daily School Operations: Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the school, including staffing flow, classroom coverage, breaks, transitions, supplies, technology, and other operational needs.
- Opening & Closing: Share responsibility with the administrative team for opening and closing the school on a rotational basis, ensuring the school is prepared for a safe and successful start and end to each day.
- Classroom & Staff Support: Maintain a consistent and visible presence throughout the school. Conduct regular classroom rounds to identify needs, address operational concerns, and support teachers and classrooms.
- Organization & Follow-Through: Manage multiple daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities; maintain effective systems for tracking tasks and deadlines; and ensure assigned responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.
- Quality, Safety & Compliance: Support quality assurance processes, classroom operational standards, required documentation, safety practices, emergency preparedness, and licensing readiness.
- Technology & Administrative Support: Use technology confidently and efficiently to organize school operations, prepare professional materials and communications, maintain information, and support administrative projects.
- Events & Family Experience: Coordinate the planning and logistics of school events, family activities, staff initiatives, and special programs from preparation through completion.
- Problem Solving & Initiative: Anticipate needs, recognize issues before they become larger problems, determine appropriate next steps, and take ownership through resolution.
- Administrative Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Center Director and Curriculum Specialist while demonstrating professionalism, sound judgment, discretion, and respect when working with children, families, and an experienced team of educators.
- Takes initiative and can work effectively without constant direction or reminders.
- Has strong follow-through and consistently completes responsibilities on time.
- Can determine what needs immediate attention, what can wait, and how to keep longer-term responsibilities moving forward.
- Enjoys being active and visible throughout the school rather than spending the entire day behind a desk.
- Notices details and proactively addresses needs and potential problems.
- Is technologically confident and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Is comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, digital calendars, shared drives, spreadsheets, forms, and similar productivity tools.
- Can create clear, professional school materials and is comfortable using tools such as Canva when needed.
- Communicates professionally and confidently with teachers, families, and the administrative team and is comfortable providing clear operational direction when needed.
- Values collaboration and knows how to build positive, respectful working relationships with experienced educators.
- Can shift priorities when the needs of the school change without allowing other important responsibilities to fall behind.
- Works well independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative administrative team.
- Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in early childhood education, school administration, operations, or a related environment preferred
- Experience working in a licensed early childhood setting strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, technology, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and follow tasks through to completion
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively with minimal day-to-day direction
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of an administrative team
- Genuine commitment to creating a positive experience for children, families, and teachers
- Must be able to participate in a rotating opening and closing schedule
- Must pass required state background checks and meet applicable state education, experience, and credential requirements
- Compensation: $42,000–$50,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
