Lead Infant Teacher
- Provide a safe, nurturing, responsive, and engaging environment for infants.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences that support infant development.
- Maintain consistent feeding, diapering, sleeping, and daily care routines based on each child’s individual needs.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding their child’s day, development, routines, and milestones.
- Complete daily documentation, including meals, bottles, diaper changes, naps, activities, and classroom updates.
- Take and share appropriate classroom photos and updates with families through our school communication platform.
- Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, licensing, and school policies and procedures.
- Complete developmental observations and assessments as required.
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, fellow educators, and school leadership.
- Provide guidance and direction to classroom team members to ensure routines and expectations are followed consistently.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and ongoing training.
- Maintain proper classroom supervision and teacher-to-child ratios at all times.
- Has previous experience working with infants in a childcare or early childhood education setting.
- Has strong knowledge of infant care, development, safety, and age-appropriate practices.
- Is dependable, punctual, patient, nurturing, and professional.
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Is comfortable leading a classroom and working collaboratively with an assistant teacher.
- Is able to meet all Ohio childcare licensing requirements and required background checks.
- Is willing to complete required training and professional development.
- Has an Early Childhood Education degree, CDA, or related education/credentials preferred.
