Join Our Leadership Team!
The Goddard School of Yukon is looking for a dependable, motivated, and experienced early childhood education professional to join our leadership team! We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys supporting teachers, building meaningful relationships with families, and helping create a positive, organized, and welcoming school environment.

This is a hands-on leadership position, not simply an office role. Our ideal candidate is approachable, organized, confident in making decisions, and willing to jump in wherever needed to support the success of our school.

If you're an experienced childcare professional who takes initiative, leads by example, and is ready to take the next step in your career, we'd love to meet you!

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of professional experience working in a licensed childcare center.
  • Previous experience leading, supervising, mentoring, or supporting teaching staff.
  • Working knowledge of childcare licensing regulations, classroom ratios, and daily center operations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in challenging situations.
  • A dependable work ethic, consistent attendance, punctuality, and strong follow-through.
  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and adapt to the changing needs of a busy school.
  • Willingness to assist in classrooms and support teachers whenever needed.
  • Availability to work Monday–Friday, including scheduled closing responsibilities.
  • Ability to meet all applicable Oklahoma childcare employment and background-check requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Director, Director, Education Coordinator, or Lead Teacher.
  • Experience communicating with families and addressing concerns professionally.
  • Familiarity with early childhood curriculum implementation and classroom quality standards.
What You'll Do
As a member of our leadership team, you'll play an important role in supporting our teachers, families, and little learners each day.
  • Partner with the Owner, Director, and Director of Education to support daily school operations.
  • Provide guidance, encouragement, and coaching to teachers while maintaining high classroom standards.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, classroom coverage, breaks, and daily transitions.
  • Help ensure compliance with Oklahoma childcare licensing requirements, including classroom ratios and safety procedures.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with families and provide thoughtful, timely communication.
  • Support curriculum implementation, classroom organization, and overall program quality.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and school procedures.
  • Step into classrooms to provide hands-on support.
  • Assist with opening or closing procedures as scheduled, including end-of-day responsibilities.
  • Model professionalism, accountability, confidentiality, and a positive attitude.
  • Help create a team environment where teachers feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow.
What Makes Someone Successful Here?

We believe great leaders lead by example.

Our strongest team members are those who recognize what needs to be done and take initiative without always being asked. They communicate openly, follow through on commitments, remain flexible when plans change, and understand that every responsibility matters.

We're looking for someone who can confidently lead while also being a supportive teammate. Someone who is just as comfortable helping a teacher through a challenging moment as they are communicating with a family or managing daily school operations.

Above all, we're looking for someone who genuinely cares about children, supports their team, and takes pride in helping our school succeed.

Why Join Our Goddard Family?

At The Goddard School of Yukon, we believe that a strong, supportive team is the heart of a wonderful early learning experience.

We value collaboration, open communication, accountability, and the little moments that make each school day special.

As part of our leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, support the professional growth of teachers, and help shape a positive school culture.

Nurture your growth. Empower your success. Join our welcoming community, where you can grow and make a real difference in children’s lives every day. If you’re passionate about education and children, and ready to advance your career, we’d love to hear from you!
