About the Role:
The Goddard School of Gilbert (East Germann) is looking for a passionate and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our accredited full-day preschool program. Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate, play-based curriculum in a preschool classroom setting for children ages Infant through Five Years old.
- Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children throughout the full school day
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for all students
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and child progress
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning space
- Observe and document children's developmental milestones and behaviors
- Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement lesson activities aligned with program standards
Requirements:
- Experience working with preschool-aged or early childhood education students preferred
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework, CDA credential, or related degree is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and staff
- Ability to lift 50 pounds when needed
- Ability to maintain a warm, patient, and encouraging demeanor in a classroom setting
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to professional growth in early childhood education
