- Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
- Supporting each child’s social and emotional development using appropriate teaching and developmental techniques.
- Establishing positive and effective family relations through in-person and written communication using electronic platforms
- Working with your lead teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty to develop and execute lesson plans that are age appropriate
- Understanding how children learn and develop, and engaging them in developmentally appropriate activities to prepare them for Preschool
- Using technology to assess children's progress and development
- A high school diploma required
- Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Shows empathy and compassion for young children (Critical)
- Reliability and consistency in showing up to work
- Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
