Position Summary: As the Business Manager you will be the driving force behind the successful launch and ongoing operation of our preschool. This is a unique opportunity to build a school from the ground up, shaping its culture and ensuring its long-term success. You will be responsible for all aspects of pre-opening preparation, including hiring and training a talented Director, developing enrollment strategies, and building strong relationships with the community. You will also be the primary point of contact for parents and oversee the day-to-day operations of the school.
Responsibilities: Organize and execute pre-opening events and open houses to generate excitement and enroll new students and families. Develop and implement effective marketing and outreach strategies to build brand awareness within the Athens community. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, providing regular communication and addressing any concerns. Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, including licensing and accreditation requirements. Manage the school's budget and financial performance, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Facilitate ongoing professional development for the Director and staff, including attending GSL and Goddard provided training (paid by the school). Represent the preschool at community events and build strong partnerships with local organizations. Serve as a liaison between the school and the broader Athens community.
Qualifications: • Strong leadership and team-building skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for early childhood education. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Knowledge of state and local regulations pertaining to childcare facilities. • Bachelor's degree preferred.
Additional Information: For optimal preparation in fulfilling the duties listed above, training will be provided at an existing Goddard school to gain firsthand experience.
