This is a full-time, daytime-only role (no nights, weekends, or holidays) combining kitchen duties with morning and afternoon school bus routes for preschoolers. The school emphasizes putting teachers first so they can focus on students. You'll prepare nutritious snacks and meals, manage the kitchen, and help with safe transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and maintain a monthly snack calendar (variety, nutrition, dietary accommodations).
- Order supplies, manage inventory, and keep the pantry stocked.
- Prepare and distribute morning/afternoon snacks + meals to classrooms hygienically and on time.
- Ensure compliance with health/safety codes and preschool policies.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized.
- Track food costs and help manage the kitchen budget.
- Work with teachers on special dietary needs.
- Perform basic equipment checks.
- Drive morning and afternoon bus pick-up/drop-off routes (clean driving record for the last 3 years required).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (culinary training/certification a plus).
- Experience in food prep, kitchen work, or similar.
- Knowledge of nutrition and food safety (ServSafe certification is a plus).
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, communicate well, and collaborate with staff/vendors.
- Physically able to lift supplies and stand for extended periods.
